From the President
Greetings to all members and friends of our industry,
Sadly for me, this will be my last “President’s Log article.” It doesn’t seem possible that more than two years have rushed by so quickly. I guess time flies when you are having fun! I have enjoyed this time as much as any in my life.
I would like to thank everyone involved with the progress we have made in the last two years, trying to effect positive change for the membership. We continue to build momentum with many of the key issues affecting our industry and the members. One of the most important in my opinion is our progress made increasing the awareness of the lack of harvest on our public lands. We must continue to expand our efforts with this issue.
As members you may continue to feel comfortable with the GREAT people making the day to day decisions concerning our association. You have a very strong and dedicated Board of Directors working hard for you. We also have the good fortune to be working with two hard working Legislative Consultants and a very knowledgeable attorney and last but not least a very organized coordinator pulling it all together.
I would like to challenge all current and soon to be members to jump on the “bandwagon”!! Please become more active in our association!!!
Lastly, I would like to wish every one reading this article and your families a MERRY CHRISTMAS and a Happy New Year.
